“The Commercial league closed books Monday night at the Recreation alleys, with Betty Ann Wines, sponsored and captained by Huss Anderson, declared champs. The Commercial League followed the Merchants League on Monday nights at Broadway Recreation. Huss was on the championship team both shifts in 1939.

April 21, 1968, Ernie Culver bowled the first sanctioned 800 and only the fourth sanctioned 300 bowled at that time in Council Bluffs.
